How common is acne scarring?

Mankind and acne have a long hateful history, ever since you were a teenager, you've no doubt dreaded the idea of acne. You’ve been terrified of is coming and eagerly waited for it to leave. Now, all acne isn't exactly equally troublesome. Some of them come and go without much trouble, others come and stay for some before disappearing, but it’s the ones that leave a scar that truly scares us.

Acne Scars

Acne scarring occurs when a pimple, instead of just leaving, gives us a permanent mark on our face. Many of these scars too fades after some time, but the ones that stay have a deep bearing on our self-confidence and personality as a whole. There are two types of acne scarring;

1.    scars with a gradual dip or depression (sometimes called "rolling" scars)
2.    scars that are deep and narrow

Scarring due to acne isn't  common, however,  but not rare either. If you have scarring due to acne know that you aren't alone. There are millions of people just like you. The condition is so widespread that modern medicine provides many remedies to this type of scarring. Most kinds of acne scars do fades by proper treatment.

Furthermore, some scars could be permanent, trying to squeeze the pimple and excessive puling could result in more permanent scarring. The only way to identify if the type of scarring you have is permanent or temporary is to visit a dermatologist.
